Unwind by the sea this Christmas time at Eastbourne, a timeless seaside town to enjoy the winter festivities. A warm welcome awaits at the family-owned Best Western Lansdowne Hotel, situated in an enviable position with views of Beachy Head, so you can make the most of spending a traditional Christmas on the elegant seafront. Take a Christmas Day walk along the flat promenade, and you are guaranteed to get into the festive spirit as a live concert is performed at the iconic Eastbourne Bandstand.

Day 1 Departure: 1000 – 1100 hrs. Travel south, making a comfort stop en-route. Hotel check-in with afternoon tea and mince pies. Later enjoy a 4 course dinner in the Devonshire Restaurant followed by live entertainment.

Day 2 After breakfast, spend the morning/lunchtime at leisure in Eastbourne. As well as the 3 miles of clean beaches, the unhurried holiday resort benefits from Victorian shopping streets offering independent retailers and galleries, and a selection of museums. Alternatively visit the famous Carpet Gardens on the promenade or wander the waterfront development at Sovereign Harbour. In the afternoon complimentary mulled wine and mince pies are served in the Regency Bar. Before dinner, join the proprietors and management for a glass of Prosecco and canapés whilst attending a carol service with singers from All Saints’ Church in the Jevington Room. Take your 4 course dinner in the Devonshire Restaurant. Afterwards partake in ‘guess the weight of the Christmas cake’ along with a general knowledge quiz in the Alfriston Room. Midnight Service with Communion at All Saints’ Church is available for those who wish to attend.

Day 3 Merry Christmas! After breakfast, enjoy a concert at the Bandstand given by Eastbourne Silver Band. Return to the hotel and indulge in a 5 course traditional Christmas luncheon. Her Majesty the Queen’s Christmas Message is shown in the Regency Bar. Later buffet dinner is served in the Devonshire Restaurant. Afterwards a general knowledge quiz will entertain you.

Day 4 After Breakfast, enjoy the Boxing Day Dance Concert at the Bandstand given by Ray Campbell Band. Return to the hotel for Boxing Day buffet lunch served in the Devonshire Restaurant. Later a 3 course dinner is served in the Devonshire Restaurant.

Day 5 Depart after breakfast and begin the journey home, making a comfort stop en-route. Arrive home: mid-afternoon.
