Experience the sights and sounds that greeted the original passengers as they boarded the steam ship SS Great Britain, one of the most important historic ships in the world that was built in 1843. It has enjoyed over 170 years of adventure, including taking the incredible journey around the world over 30 times. Revealing a unique survival from Victorian times, you can discover the deck, dockside or below the spectacular glass sea, from the opulent First Class to the Steerage, as you hear authentic and fascinating stories about life on board this remarkable time-machine. Now preserved and fully restored to its former glory in the original Great Western Dockyard, there’s no mistaking that this is one of the country’s best-loved all-weather attractions.
